[Well, it took Ginko awhile to find the laptop and a bit longer to figure out how to use it, but eventually he managed, so here's a brand new color handle on the forum.]

hello
i'm not entirely certain i am doing this correctly
but if other people can see this, my name is ginko

i had a question, for anyone who cares to answer
have you ever heard of creatures called mushi?
some of the phenomena i have heard about in this town bear similarities with ones from my own home, ones that are caused by these beings
i would be curious to know if they ring familiar to anyone else

in that vein, i'd like to investigate the surrounding forest, but i've been warned against doing so alone
if anyone should care to accompany me, i would appreciate it

finally, i was told i should speak with a midoriya and a maya amano for further details about our situation
if anyone knows where i can find them, or how best to contact them, please let me know

thank you

Of course! I can't turn down anyone who's interested in learning.

I've just been noticing that even things like the quests seem to hold traces of fairy tale elements-- fight something, do something that requires trust and honesty and the traits those stories value, create something... and gain a reward at the end of it. There was even an event where we were tempted by some manner of thing and received helpful little talking birds to try and guide us away from it.

Folklore is especially big on that, and receiving assistance from an unusual source in order to accomplish resisting temptation? That honestly sounds entirely too familiar to me.

I think it's entirely possible. There's been lines of what appears to be a story appearing every month, too. And that story seems to be directly related to the town itself.

Also the fact that the library only contains fairy tales seems like a pretty massive clue to me.

Right, on the forum--

... but if you mean we're familiar with the stories in the library-- I am, at least. There are older fairy tales in there, and some Japanese folklore... I'd say maybe give it a look and see if anything stands out!
