Two questions.

1) Of the items received and brought back from most recent events, has anyone gained something that can be used for the whole town? Things such as seeds, bandages, medicine, etc. It might be worthwhile to throw together a resource pool if it hasn't been done so already.

2) If you could pick something at all from home that would help you get through the day here, what would it be? A type of food, clothing you prefer, your favorite flower. Things like that. If you're comfortable with sharing, I'd like to hear from you.

I brought back some weights from my school's weight room, but I let Tonbokiri have them.

The only other thing I got that everyone can use is a basketball and a couple soccer balls.

Oh, and the pump to keep them inflated if they run out of air.

If I could get anything from back home, I'd want some entertainment. Music, video games, movies, anything! Or a real internet so we can find all those on our laptops!

Sports equipment then. Not the most practical but I can understand the appeal.

There are books in the library if you're looking for entertainment, but I imagine you want a bit more. You could also try writing stories.

What kind of skill?

More sports, if you wanted. Also fishing, hunting, sewing, building, etc. There's plenty of survival based skills to learn here and get good at if you have the patience.

But I live by the water. I could try fishing.

Fishing is both useful and relaxing. After you catch some fish, you could learn how to cook it. It'll be a good skill to have if you're ever in a situation where you need to take care of yourself.

Once you get set up, you just wait for the fish to come to you, right? That sounds easy.

I can cook a fish. My sister made me do the cooking all the time when our parents weren't home.

Yes, for the most part. After some time, you'll become a little more instinctually aware of where to find the best fish and have the most interesting fishing.

Then you have the skill already. Do you do a lot of cooking here then?

It's a pain doing it all the time, but I cook when I need to.
