Once upon a time, there lived a young man in an azure district. While his family wanted for nothing in terms of wealth, the man's heart sought one most felt was beyond his reach. His heart's desire was a poor but comely man who hailed from the crimson district, and his beauty had already drawn several suitors from that same district to his side in the hopes of claiming his heart for their own.

The young man despaired, for he knew to approach his love whilst hailing from another color would be a fruitless effort indeed. Thankfully there was another, a true friend, a young woman of the brighter, sunnier district, who was there to offer her assistance.

Well if that's true, I do know several people who offered their cooking skills when I asked for everyone's abilities. Still, I must agree - my deepest wishes and desires can't be granted by anyone here.

I'd like to mend my relationship with my mother, but she's not anywhere in this town.

In that case, one of my wishes is that you get to see her soon. No doubt she misses such a good son.

Thank you. I usually visit her every weekend, but... Anyway, I hope she's okay.

Do you have any small wishes? Like something you miss from home?

I suppose if we're regarding "things", I do wish I had my tea set. But I literally have an army of people I miss from my realm.

I could live without seeing their faces, so long as I knew they were safe. Before I arrived here, we were about to go into a dangerous, deadly battle with a tyrannical warlord and his men.

I'd be worried about anybody who was going into a battle like that. You said you were a healer, right? Are there more of them with the army?

[troubadamsel]

Yes, several others. But every member of the Shepherds counts. Our strategist needs everyone there so he can asses the strengths and weaknesses of our enemy and plan accordingly. But it's not just losing a battle that upsets me.

There are people in there I've known since childhood. Friends I've become close to. Our army is much more than that. We're almost like a family.

[glaciers]

Oh. I think I understand if it's missing people. I guess I'm lucky that some people from home are here too.

It would be nice if there was some way to check up on them.

Until then, we must try to think positively about them. Even though it's difficult. Extremely difficult.

Her smile. Lissa, my dearest friend. It can light up a room.

[He's just like this some times! Besides, she said she wanted to remember them!]

I'm glad you also have a friend like that. There aren't a lot of people who can do that type of thing. It's special.

It's the memory of her smile that keeps me moving, and won't allow me to give up.
