If anyone would like me to help build a farm, that would be wonderful. The animals are on me, I just need a place and a couple of helpers to feed and keep watch. I'm a city boy, I don't know what's involved in farming, but I'll do my best.

Well, perhaps 'giving' isn't the most accurate. But that's the simplest way of explaining my power.

Fascinating. Is this power manifested through manifesting out of nothing, or by changing the form of something existing?

It manifests based on what I want, so the latter.

I'm gonna be trying to make an animal I haven't seen before, though. So that's going to be interesting.

Do you at least have an image of what it looks like? Or something close to that at least?

I've a poorly drawn image from a guy who grew up hunting it. We'll see how it goes.

The animal is supposed to be bigger than a man, but it makes for a great steak. If I'm successful we'll be eating for a while. If not, well. I tried.

It'll probably just stubbornly refuse to change into the thing we hope for. My abilities are impressive, but this is kind of out of its range.

Still, I want to know how it will end. Just out of curiousity.

Once I create it, it is mine. Its will is my own.

But I know what you're saying. And I promise you, I'm not that creative.

I've gotten a lot of remarks. It's interesting. I wasn't expecting so much.

But I've been here for a while and I've been a lot more social than I usually would be. So I suppose I really shouldn't be surprised at all.

This place does have that affect. We all have to rely and depend on one another, so I suppose it's only natural.

I also miss eating steak. I'm used to eating the finer things in life, the simple vegetable and whatever life is kind of punishing. Although I suppose I'm happy enough for the fact that it's keeping me healthy.

If you're hungry for meat, I could make you fried lizards.

Is there any meat in them?

I don't mind trying. We can call it a date. [ hah. hah. ]

Good. They're quite delicious.

Do you season it with anything?

Back home there was this delicious volcanic spice. Finding an equivalent here won't be possible unfortunately.

I don't know, I have an enthusiastic cook in my contacts now. If you give me a general idea of what it's supposed to taste like, maybe we can replicate it as close as we can?

It's hard to describe. The immediate flavor is that of intense spice, but when it mellows it turns tangy and sweet. It's a mix of several different types of spices that all come together.

It starts off rather intense ... like bitter? Salty? Spicy? And then it turns tangy and sweet?

... oh but we don't have all the taste and colours that we need for the spices, don't we? That makes it a bit more difficult ... it's alright. At least we've got somewhere to start.

It's a good start.

Don't worry if you cannot replicate it though. Small things like that shouldn't really be our focus anyhow.

It's better if we have the full experience! Seasoning and all.

In any case I'm always looking for ways to make my food taste lovely so having a bit of a kick to it is going to make things more interesting.
