Is there anyone that has any skill at fixing walls? I fear that one became damaged during the chaos. It does not feel right to leave it partially ruined.
[ Especially since it pretty much has a Shen Qingqiu hole in it due to him being punched into said wall. Sigh!
But hm, moving away from that for a second, he thinks he can finally talk about something while having it sound like "nothing." Idle wondering of a mind getting used to this place! ]
This is a different thread all together. Sometimes, fate says that there is nothing that can be done in order to save one person. And sometimes, you must be the one to bring harm to the person you cherish. But still, you would like to hope even if you were the one to hurt them that they'll grow strong and happy one day, right?
[ If this is something that everyone can read, then... then! ]
The stories that we create for ourselves need not be tragedies if we do not let them be. Even if there is that moment, it can still end well. [ Holy fuck, does he hope that it will! ]
Anyway, the wall is still a problem so I'm hoping for a happy end for that, too.

[But there's nothing for it. She carries the boulder higher from the ground and she's about to head off but pauses.]
Be careful if a weird fog starts rolling in. That's usually the first sign something is about to go wrong.
[Then she leaves with the boulder. Flying like this is slower than earlier when it was just the two of them. But they're not too far, all the same. After all, this place wasn't exactly very big. She really hopes he'll still be fine when she gets back.]

[ A warm smile as he looks around -- ah! He walks to take a seat down on the ground in a lotus position. Breathing in, he closes his eyes as he feels the giddiness rise in him. Meditation. Nothing is going to get in the way this time.
It's odd to go from regretting and once more feeling the deep wound in his heart about Luo Binghe to cheerfully praising his luck to on being able to meditate. But it's easy for him. It's because he keeps burying that pain as soon as it surfaces and covers it up with flowers and other dressing. He buries it and smiles about little things that do and don't make him happy. Because there's nothing to do about what he has already done except wait.
And so, he waits. ]

Then she heads back, more quickly than she left. She didn't have the wait of the boulder, after all.
You'd expect that, when she returned, she'd try to scare him or something. But no, he said he'd be meditating, right? Then she won't bother him. (Though if she hadn't know she definitely would have tossed a small pebble at him or something.)
She does breathe a little sigh of relief when she returns and finds that he hasn't been kidnapped by sirens or eaten by banshees.
She'll sit down (in the air) and wait to be acknowledged.]

A mental block, huh? It seems like even when he's able to meditate, he isn't able to meditate. He clicks his tongue and decides that he shouldn't push it. Forcing a meditative state and focusing of qi is the quickest way to qi deviation! No fucking thank you!

But also, he was lucky he opened his eyes then because while Kaoru wants to be thoughtful she's also incredibly impatient. She was already idly juggling pebbles in the air over her head and at any moment she could have started (gently) tossing them at him.
But well, that didn't happen and she'll never admit that she would have done something like that so!
Worry from adults shouldn't catch her so off guard, she thinks. Especially not after being here for so many months already. Still, she's used to all the adults around her believing that she was stronger than most threats (even Minamoto, who did worry about them often, had faith in them enough to not worry so often). When she was younger and determined to be strong, she would have been a mix of embarrassed and annoyed.
But after a brief second of surprise, she just smiled.]

[ Holy fucking shit, that was a punch to my fucking heart. He rises up out of his lotus position. Brushing off the snow from his robes, he lets out a small sigh. Guess I can't keep wearing these. Only special mission times. Wearing modern clothes while maintaining my uh, self. It'll be interesting. But thankfully, he's so practiced at it that he feels even when he was wearing his wolf outfit that he came off quite elegant. ]
It seems everything went well. [ He wants to cry. He doesn't want to go flying. Where is his taxi driver?! Where is Liu Qingge! That demolition duty commander and chief!! How could he leave him like this?! ] And when Keigo comes to ask what is going on with the boulder, I promise to be with you. We can apologize together.
[ Shen Qingqiu holds his hand out to her, willing himself to remain calm as he prepares to fly back to his house. ]

[But it wasn't about that. The first time she went with the forest exploration group she and her group nearly got eaten by banshees. She's used to erring on the side of caution.

He resists crying once again as he is lifted up into the air. He also resists wrapping his arms around her waist because a) that's very inappropriate, don't ever do this and b) despite everything he's shown, hasn't he also shown to be a very unreliable adult and that would just deepen that impression?? ]
