So I made a pie. Well, more than one pie. It took some experimenting with the ovens we have here, so I ended up with more than one. so if anyone wants some just drop me a line.
I think I'd like to try a quiche next...but I'm not sure how easy it'd be to find eggs.
And bread too. obviously we don't have any dry yeast...or is there? But there must be some way to do it even without it, right? I mean, people were making bread before they started using the dry yeast you find in supermarkets. I think it'd be worth the effort since we can keep bread at room temperature!
I'd also like to see if anyone would like to spar? I could also use some more sword handling tips if anyone knows anything about that. I'm okay with any time in the day. Even late at night is fine!
[His sleep cycle is very messed up, okay?]

You ought to make bread before quiche.
no subject
Awesome. I hope you don't mind that some of them are...less than perfect.
Baking with a wood burning oven was an experience.
I think bread would be better too. It keeps better and you can use it for more things. But I still need yeast.

Where do you get yeast?

what is quiche
is it sweet
no subject
And there's no cover so I guess it's really more like a tart.
no subject
savoury tarts sound gross
you should make sweets instead
the round cinnamon things
no subject
Do you mean cinnamon rolls?
[Were there any other round cinnamon things?]

Ooooh. I hadn't thought flat breads! Wraps would be just a convenient as a sandwich! can't make french toast out of it though.
no subject
no but its still filling which is needed around ehre
no subject
true! and wraps are even more portable than sandwiches!

Why do you want to learn the sword?
no subject
I can't let my skills get rusty while I'm here. And I've pretty much just been learning from Blinky and Draal. And they've been busy back home for a while now.
Plus, with so many people from other places here, I can probably pick up some neat new tricks!

Don't train late at night. Do you wish to ruin your sleep?
no subject
It's fine! I can function just fine with only a few hours of sleep.

Not that I mind doing dishes...but I've got a bit too much free time. If all these pies on my table are any indication.

also, while i have no sword, i do have a lot of experience, and can happily offer advice on the use of one if you'd like.

That'd be great! It's been a while since I've had an actual teacher. My usual trainers back home have been indisposed recently.
[One because he was organizing a bunch of refugees and the other because he's been brainwashed and has been trying to kill him every time they meet. Fun times.]
no subject
i've never been an actual teacher before myself, but i am always happy to view some swordplay. are your usual trainers alright?
["Indisposed" can mean so many things.....]
no subject
I'm sure you'll be fine!
More or less. Things have been pretty crazy right before I got here.
[To put it really mildly.]
But everything will be fine.
[He'll help make sure of it.]
