#030066 - Defense Force, and a Question

It’s Dextera, again. I’m sorry to post something again so soon.

Guren disappeared a few days ago. He went home. He told me that Zelda was intended to take over the Defense Force, but it looks like Zelda has gone as well.

I don’t want to take it over. If there’s anyone who thinks they’d like to run it, I believe Guren’s notes still exist. Please take them.

[ even the text is dripping with despair, honestly. ]

And, I have a personal question, unrelated to the Defense Force.

What would your ideal world look like? If you could create something entirely new… what would you want in it?


( just as it says, there’s currently no one running the defense force! if anyone is really interested in taking it over, feel free to make an ooc post about it or put it up for discussion or whatever you feel is best, otherwise both zelda and guren’s players have said they’re fine with handwaving it! )

an imperfect world may be the only option, you're right.

"one who knows white but preserves black becomes a standard for the world," is a line i learned in my youth. i believe it means that one must accept, rather than deny, both the good and the bad. to work alongside those imperfections, rather than attempt to defy them.

But if you had the chance to cleanse the world of imperfection, even if you lost something in the process, doesn’t it seem wrong not to do it? As you said, there would be no war, or plague, or famine… or human failure.

People would have no lessons to learn, because all is in its greatest form.

an absolutely perfect world, without the possibility of human failure...sounds like a terrifying sort of paradise, to be honest. i would love to wipe out the mistakes i made in my past, to ensure a world where no one would ever need to feel fear. but a world like that would need an entirely different people.

i don't think i'm quite ready to give up the humanity i know, despite their flaws.
