#030066 - Defense Force, and a Question

It’s Dextera, again. I’m sorry to post something again so soon.

Guren disappeared a few days ago. He went home. He told me that Zelda was intended to take over the Defense Force, but it looks like Zelda has gone as well.

I don’t want to take it over. If there’s anyone who thinks they’d like to run it, I believe Guren’s notes still exist. Please take them.

[ even the text is dripping with despair, honestly. ]

And, I have a personal question, unrelated to the Defense Force.

What would your ideal world look like? If you could create something entirely new… what would you want in it?


( just as it says, there’s currently no one running the defense force! if anyone is really interested in taking it over, feel free to make an ooc post about it or put it up for discussion or whatever you feel is best, otherwise both zelda and guren’s players have said they’re fine with handwaving it! )

there's pollution
there are people who go around doing things they shouldn't do and trying to make you think they're not doing anything wrong
there are crimes that go unpunished and innocent people who get accused of things
but i'll force it to be better if i have to

How do you plan to make it better? It seems impossible. There’s no way to fix the world without cleansing it. That’s what I’ve been told.

As for your question, I don't spend time thinking about things that I can't do. I don't know if making something completely "ideal" is even possible
But, who knows.
That wish still might come true, if that's your idea of "ideal."

At the rate this is going, are we sure any one person should be running anything? These disappearances are too wildly unpredictable. The next to take up the mantle could very well be gone by morning, only to leave the rest scrambling yet again to find another...

Frankly, it's irresponsible. We would do better to have an arranged council of qualified individuals, rather than a single, solitary leader who can be separated from us all in the blink of an eye.

there are many things i wish i could change about the world. but if i had the chance to...i feel i would likely make it about the same as it was before.

[ dextera resonates with that kind of answer, with his desire for re-creation, rather than renovation, but it seems like an escape from responsibility in his case. so… ]

because the world i know is an imperfect one. i would love to see a world without wars, or plagues, or famine - but there are people who find their strengths in times of emergency, and people who cannot be good regardless of how peaceful their surroundings are.

so i suppose the reason is that i cannot imagine changing the people. humanity is imperfect, but it is something i wish to protect, regardless.

[Rin has a hard time deciding what to do here. On one hand he's not surprised? It happens all the time, and he hadn't heard from Guren in a while, or saw anything of Zelda after he rescued her from her "father" puppet during the fairy tale BS.

But on the other hand he had gotten really close to Guren at least, and it felt... strange to not have that leading force there anymore.
