#030066 - Defense Force, and a Question

It’s Dextera, again. I’m sorry to post something again so soon.

Guren disappeared a few days ago. He went home. He told me that Zelda was intended to take over the Defense Force, but it looks like Zelda has gone as well.

I don’t want to take it over. If there’s anyone who thinks they’d like to run it, I believe Guren’s notes still exist. Please take them.

[ even the text is dripping with despair, honestly. ]

And, I have a personal question, unrelated to the Defense Force.

What would your ideal world look like? If you could create something entirely new… what would you want in it?


( just as it says, there’s currently no one running the defense force! if anyone is really interested in taking it over, feel free to make an ooc post about it or put it up for discussion or whatever you feel is best, otherwise both zelda and guren’s players have said they’re fine with handwaving it! )

Certainly. This is not a responsibility I would wish on anyone.
But forgive me, I know that your grief must be overwhelming
But many things here are yet unknown to me, and they might be of great import.
What circumstances were so dire that a "Defense Force" must be created in the first place?

He was part of the first group of us in this town. Everything seemed dire at the time, and he was a natural leader for us. I don’t think the town is more or less dangerous than it was then, but we know how to handle it better.

In those days, about a year ago now, we could have destroyed ourselves without some organized force.

Thank you for telling me. I know that talking of all of this must be difficult, so I will ask no more about it.
But I will tell you this: that tragedy and sorrow are as shadows and will follow us all our days. And yet…if you ever have need of it, my music can chase those ghosts away, if only for a time.

[ dextera doubts that any amount of music could ever truly chase away his sorrow, not even for a second. he’s really in his feelings right now. ]

I’ll keep you in mind, but I think that’s a greater task than you realize.
