i know she didnt have a whole ton of friends here but if you ever came around chroma cafe she was the dark haired girl who helped me out there

she was also

kind of my girlfriend for a bit

i know we lost a few others recently too

thats why i havent been in the best mood lately and why im staying with nyx for right now
cafe is still open tho

and uh sorry if i snapped at anyone in the last few days

but

quests went up
i already went to get some work done on the outside of the cafe so ill probably just plant some flowers on my own
there's the other ones, though

[It takes a bit of effort on his part to actually get up and get moving, so he shuffles up about twenty minutes after his last message. Hands in his pockets, hood over his head, sword on his back. He's clearly not having a good time of it right now, but that's to be expected.]

[Link has never been good at comforting others. He isn't good enough with words to be that kind of person to someone else. But he did learn, through Zelda, that sometimes people just want him to listen to them talk. He can do that.

When Rin arrives, he stands and returns his sword to its sheath.]

I've got supplies in my bag. I'm ready to go if you are.

[That's fine. He's not expecting much in the way of comfort anyway. Everyone has their own problems here. Everyone has lost someone they care about.

He's not special just because Chroma decided it didn't want Kohaku there anymore.

He gives a quiet not, unusually silent but clearly determined to do something cathartic.]

[Link steps off his front lawn and begins to walk along the dirt road, deeper into the forest, where it eventually fades into tall grass and wildflowers. The metal of his equipment clinks on his back and his boots crunch under the rocks and leaves on the ground.

He waits until they're far out of earshot of anyone back in Flavo before glancing over at him and saying softly,] Rin, I'm sorry about Kohaku.

Not trying to be a replacement, for the record, but if you need someone to help out at the cafe, I'll at least not break the plates or anything.

Also, going after the goblins sounds very good. Though I'm not sure it'll count for the quest - just clear the goblins, I guess.
