This is Cairngorm.

There have been a few changes to the books in the library
I was able to restore a few to their original state using some of the ink we all received
I wanted to restore some historical records, but it didn’t go as planned. I’m currently going over some logs about the daily lives of the inhabitants, but something more vague restored alongside them

It was a book about the town’s original inhabitants’ “religion” and “worship”
To be honest, my kind don’t have those things. So I’m not going to be the best at interpreting it
If it even means anything useful.
They seemed to care a lot about separation is about all I can get from it

There are probably those of you out there who know more about religion and who might understand this text more. I’ll explain the contents to you or even show the book to you - if you don’t mess with it.

By the way
Do any of you have the means to build a box the size of a head?
It’s for storing something head shaped.

I see.
There's only war against other beings where I live
So it's hard to imagine inflicting that kind of thing on your own kind
Especially to young ones

You would be surprised how awful humans can be to one another, even unintentionally. A lot of it is just collateral damage from being in the wrong place and the wrong time.

I joined willingly, but it was that or die on the streets from illness or hunger, so it's wasn't like I had much to lose.

I've heard other humans talk about it briefly.
The bad ways your kind treat one another. War, killing each other over difference... my kind don't have that, at least not among each other.

Were you able to get out of it eventually?

You're very lucky then.

Yes. We managed to finally bring the war to a close about two years ago now.
