Hello, everyone. This is Link. I'm back, from... the woods. I have been staying in my home while recovering my color. I wasn't able to use my laptop until then, but I can now.
First: is everyone alright? I haven't seen any more dryads since that day. Have we located everyone who was taken by them, and have we confirmed that everyone was either healed or came back as I did?
Second: I have something very important to talk about. Please, if you know someone who has not yet seen this post, tell them to read it.
I am worried about what we've been doing lately with the woods and the Guardians. I had kept my thoughts to myself... I felt that I didn't know enough about what happened, killing the two that are dead so far, and I didn't want to step out of line. And I still don't assume to know better than everyone else here, but... After this, I don't think I can stay quiet anymore.
I don't agree with killing the Guardians. I don't think we should be trying to hunt down the last one.
Unless I'm mistaken, we know nothing about them. We don't know why they're here, or what their purpose is... I know they attacked people, but in my humble opinion, the those of the forest have the right to do so. I don't know what these Guardians are any more than you all, but whether they're spirits, or protectors, or ancient forces of some kind, we shouldn't be disrespecting them, and we definitely shouldn't be killing them.
People can correct me on this if I'm wrong, but didn't the trees start to encroach on the town after the first one was killed? How do we know that Guardian wasn't actually protecting us? And now, the recent attack on the town.
The same could be said about the second one, too. After we killed it, the quests every month began to get strange, didn't they? What if they just keep getting worse and worse?
And ... I'm sorry for what I am about to say. I can't say I wouldn't have done the same, since I don't know all the details of what happened. But I object to people acting on their own when it comes to this stuff, without asking everyone else.
It was irresponsible and inconsiderate. We could be in serious danger now.
If I had known people were trying to find another one to kill, maybe I would have said something sooner and none of these terrible things would have happened.
I'm sure people may respond to this correcting me, or giving extra information, or even arguing... that's fine... but I think we need to discuss what's going on.

I’m sorry.
[ it sounds weak, and childish even when he’s just typing it. ]
I was responsible for one of the guardians, but if you had seen it, I think you would understand why we did it. It was violent and malicious. It killed someone.

I understand that I wasn't there and don't know what happened... can you tell me more about it and what occurred, exactly?

It was horrible. I’m sure that it was there to hurt us, not to protect the forest. That’s the sense I got.

Although it may be a memory you are reluctant to revisit, I hope you can give us as much detail as possible, for the sake of understanding our situation with the last guardian better.

i agree with you
[He had kept his silence about the issue because he wasn't entirely sure if anyone would believe just him. The guardians reminded him a great deal of Kuro and the story of how he had rampaged and hurt a lot of people when his shrine was being torn down after being abandoned for so long.
Just because someone hurts others it doesn't make them evil. Anger is a perfectly valid reaction.]
im glad youre back link...

Is your color fully restored? There is a flower that can help with it.
[ By which he means he has a flower that can help. But since he could not break the enchantment then, it is the most right to offer to help. ]
The quests began to become strange before the second Guardian was killed.

When was the second guardian killed, exactly? Do you know? I only heard the gossip.
[after a second:]
Were you the one who played me a few songs?

There was a notice about the second guardian here on the forum twenty-some days ago, coming from color code #27DEA9.
[ Normally, he would say it was Pyra.
But that wasn't Pyra. So he will stick to the facts. ]

i dont mind going after those dryads for now, but eventually ill run out of patience. when that happens, anything that gets in my way is gonna die. including that third guardian.

Myself and three comrades faced one a year ago, and were all nearly killed ourselves.
It was a great, dark beast with horns, bat-like wings, a long tail and poisonous claws. I would like to confirm that this beast was not one of the two already slain.
Is it certain that only one remains?
I can take into consideration the view that we are intruders into the Guardian's territory and that it is simply defending itself.
However as there is currently no way to communicate with the fiend, despite it's intelligence in a fight, finding out its purpose will be nearly impossible. Therefore, a debate about what to do about it may go into a stalemate indefinitely.
I would see a resolution to this. However what kind of resolution occurs will depend on what ideas everyone can bring forward.

I had no idea there was a third one, a year ago... did anything weird happen after it was killed?
You might be right about a debate being pointless, but maybe not. Maybe we could talk to them after all, or find out more about them.

How can I help?

I'm not sure what could be done at this point, to be honest... but maybe everyone can figure out a course of action together. I'm not much of a leader for that sort of thing...

here.......................
if... you have idddeas, tell Us...instead...of

[Some of these "lecturing" comments are baffling him. Interestingly, none of them have included much of a response to anything he said while being rude, so maybe they're just reacting to the difficulty of answering the questions he's asking. Either way, Link is way too polite to come out and say any of that, although it does still worry him.]
If we were never meant to be here, that's more of a reason to wonder whether we're stepping on the toes of someone or something else, isn't it?

I will get straight to the point. Would you like to seek this third Guardian out with me? Your concerns may be best addressed if you witness the creature firsthand.
no subject
Your offer is tempting, but I don't think we are even ready for that step yet, do we? Do we know anything about where this last guardian might be, or what it's like?
