[He's really only doing this because he's...fairly sure only Wei Wuxian and Pyra know his hexcode. So this is...basically anonymous, right?]

What would be an acceptable gift for a young maiden?

Anything related to cooking will not be considered.

[Look, he knows where his cooking skills are! And it's not in the kitchen.]

[ Color ]

That'd kind of depend on the maiden. Or girl, or woman, or what have you. Some are into weapons, some are into flowers, some are into houseware, some are into pretty things.

[ After a couple of minutes... ]

Though a lot would appreciate the existence of the present, even if it's not really right. Unless they don't because they've got reason to be suspicious of them. Do you think she'd like a gift?

It depends greatly on the young maiden you wish to give a gift to, of course - all ladies have their own unique tastes. However, if I were to give a general recommendation outside of the realm of food: I would suggest Flowers, as they are beloved by most all people, and especially by women.

Do you know what kinds of things this young maiden likes? What is your intent behind the gift?

A small list would be as follows.

Jewelry
Fine clothes
A nice bottle of wine
A luxurious bed
Expensive flowers

If you were thinking about getting me a gift, you only needed to ask.

Let's narrow it down first.

Is this gift an apology, a celebration, a representation of romantic feelings, or you just wanted to cheer them up?

Flowers.

A fine question. Is this lovely young maiden a relative of yours, or a friend, or something more?

It matters because of what the gift will mean. If you want to cheer her up, you need to do something that shows thoughtfulness and effort. Seeing how much work you put into something for her, and showing how well you know her, will absolutely lift her spirits.

I didn't think it'd be anything suspicious. What you give someone when you want to celebrate them or court them can differ slightly, after all.

If you would like to cheer someone up, I would recommend something that makes that sentiment clear. You said nothing to do with cooking, but couldn't you ask someone to help you with that? Others have said flowers, but there is something to be said of effort, too.

For love bouquets, I usually went for roses, carnations, and orchids. But if you don't want to jump to roses, you could use jasmine, orchid, and freesia...

I'm not sure how many of these have their color back, though.
