Also that 'any flower you give her would cheer her up because you're a kind friend' sounds like bullshit. He's pretty sure he's not the sort of person who cheers people up just by giving them a gift. Actually, the last time he tried to do something to show his caring it had ended up being an entire disaster that ended in tears on his part and also going to bed without dinner and feeling distinctly like his feelings didn't matter to anyone.

I've made weapons and mechas before.

[There are, in fact, a few forges around town but like many other things in this town they're broken down and a mess. Except for the one Chu Wanning had fixed up and made functional. Though it is...still a mess. Because what is the point of cleaning up when it would only get messy again???]
