Hi, this is Joshua.

After we did one of the quests, Estelle and I found a crate full of live chickens in our house. We figured that a steady supply of eggs is probably going to be more useful in the long run than a few meals' worth of meat, so we're working on getting them settled in here.

[ Also, let's be real, eating them just seemed too mean after the chocobos decided these were clearly their tiny adopted offspring. ]

I'm not sure what the yield is going to look like yet, so we haven't figured out how much we'll have to share, or if they're even going to taste like anything yet. But in the meantime, while I think we've figured out how to get the yard fenced in well enough to prevent any escape artists, if you happen to see any of them wandering loose, we'd appreciate it if you could bring them back or let us know so we can collect them.

I was rather wondering why the chocobos had appeared to pick up a small gaggle of miniature versions of themselves, actually.

Yeah, that happened in about the first five minutes after we found them.

And the plan is to keep them purely for eggs, then? We're not out to eat any of them as meat?

I'm not making suggestions either way, mind, just ensuring I'm familiar with the plan as it stands.

Once we've got a rhythm going, maybe we'll see about letting some eggs hatch and bringing meat into the equation, but for now, I think we're just going to stick to eggs and see how things look.
