How sure are you that you're still alive? Back where you're from I mean.

Like on a scale from 1 to 10. Where 1 is "I definitely died" and 10 is "I'm definitely still alive" and everything in between.

Thanks in advance. I know it's a weird question. I just... I gotta know.

I'd like to believe that too.

But just wanting something to be true doesn't always make it true.

That said... looks like most people are pretty sure they're alive. So I think it probably isn't.

If this is an afterlife, I guess that'd change things.

But if it's not then that means there are people who've been dragged from their homes and trapped here. And they don't deserve that. No one deserves that. So I'm going to find a way to fight to get out of this place, get everyone back where they belong.

I don't think anyone really knows how or why we're here. There's been too many possibilities, but... even if we find out, it wouldn't change the fact that we are here.

The only thing we can do now is be there for one another until we figure out a way out of here.

It'll be best if we don't scare the little ones with any ideas that we're trapped in essentially Limbo, yeah?

I got used to dying a long time ago. I remember every time. No one else does. Anyone who sees me die forgets.

Whatever the truth of this place is,
trying to hide it or sugarcoat it won't change it. Even if it's awful that there are kids here too, they deserve whatever the truth is.

Anyway, the needle is definitely falling to alive for most people.

So this isn't limbo or hell or anything. It's just a cage, and we're gonna find a way out.

I don't know. I don't know how it works or why. I just know it's how it is. I can't die. Or I guess I never stay dead. I just wake up in my bed eventually. Every time. Which means I can't be dead or I'd be at home.

the things people have all these opinions on
and usually the kinds that theyll hold you in place to talk about whether you want to or not

the state of how clean your room is probably
what youre even DOING with your life
im going off teen movies how close am i getting

anyway i think mortality is something i dont like to talk about in depth because like
how many times do you really want to go over that moment conversationally
like haha it happened
that sure fucking sucked!
do you really want to get poetic about your flesh rending and feeling your heart stop
really hash it out with people
talk about being incinerated or riddled with bullets or what have you
i feel like those are things you mostly just keep to yourself

It leaves us all in a state of limbo. Without enough information to find out either way, for all we know we could be in some sort of in-between place, where we're alive and not alive. Maybe that's why we don't remember how we got here, and why there's no color here.
