How sure are you that you're still alive? Back where you're from I mean.

Like on a scale from 1 to 10. Where 1 is "I definitely died" and 10 is "I'm definitely still alive" and everything in between.

i can pretty much guarantee you that there is not much that people could say to me anymore that sounds totally crazy.
i mean. i spent three years flying at the speed of light through space on a yellow battleship my sister teleported me onto.
so maybe i am just curious and do not mind crazy-sounding things.

I mean okay.

Voltron is five individual lion-shaped, warships. Each lion has its own personality and a degree of sentience. Each connects psychically or spiritually or something with its Paladin -- who it chooses. They're made by an alien civilization over 10,000 years ago, out of ore mined from a comet with the ability to rip openings between realities. Anyway, the five lions somehow combine together to form a giant robot fighter that the paladins pilot.

My friends and I found one of the lions and were chosen as paladins after we wound up traveling through a wormhole to meet the last two members of a dead alien race caught in a 10,000 year war for the fate of the universe.

ok. that makes some sense. if they are huge sentient warships shaped like jungle cats, aliens sound like a viable excuse.
so these lions get passed down between people or were they just waiting for you guys specifically to pilot them?

but if you met the last two members of a dead alien race caught in a 10,000 year war for the fate of the universe i am going to guess that also means you guys got roped into being pilots and helping with this war.

Little bit of both I guess. We happened to come along, but the fit had to work.

And no, no lions here. Too bad. Red would have some pretty clear opinions on the place. Honestly they're not my lions anymore. I'm not a paladin right now. I'm with the Blade of Marmora now. It uh, it's an alien resistance group.

But yeah. We're fighting in the war. Considering the Galra plan to take over the whole universe, fighting against them is a good cause.

Still don't think I'm crazy though? I feel like I should thank you for that. It all sounds insane to me.

guess that makes sense in one of those "sure, why not" kind of ways.

you mentioned that but somehow i kind of thought that was like a cool unit name for being a resistance fighter or something, not like. a whole other thing.
still pretty sweet though.
i would say that is a pretty worthy cause though. and suddenly "crashing a ship through a barrier" makes a lot more sense, too.

but dude no way? i mean yes it does sound a little insane in the way of "most people wouldn't get it" but i am pretty sure everything our our universes back home would make people think me and my friends are insane, too. so it's no big deal! that probably makes two of us. (or like. five. since three of my friends are here, too.)

Yeah. They're different. The Blade is made up entirely of Galra who are actually fighting against the Empire.

You've got that many people you know here? With you? Were you all together to start with?

aliens fighting aliens then. that is pretty intense. so when we go back then you'll go back to the blade? what about your other friends?
uh. yeah, they're here. but we were not all together to start with. a few of them i have not seen for a while. some other stuff happened. and one of the girls who is here is someone i just left behind.

So many aliens. My friends are the only humans involved in it.

Ah well. I mean, if some miracle happens and I live. Then yeah, back to the Blade. We still fight with Voltron as allies, work together and all that. Same side same cause.

Huh. Wonder if that means anything for who gets chosen by whatever brought us here.

yeah, us too.
if you get technical about it there are like eight of us and at least fourteen of them, maybe more, plus a couple of other aliens.
our session was a 1:3 ratio though or whatever.

you're here. so it is definitely possible you somehow lived enough to get here.
the good thing is at least the blade and voltron won't turn on each other.

i have been wondering the same thing.
usually there are four of us who stick together, but we have been separated for a few years.
the two girls who are here are aliens but my best bro and i are human.
so like. go figure that one out.

Nope not a chance. Shiro and the others are the closest thing to family I ever had. Besides, without Voltron, there's no way to win the war.

Huh. Well I mean it sucks you and your friends are stuck here, but good that you've got someone you know has your back.

wars complicate things way too much most of the time.

yeah! i would rather be able to see some of my friends than not. and i wouldn't exactly wish this place on people but who knows. maybe your friends will show up, too.
unless we really are the only people who are supposed to be here. then that just blows even more.

Yeah, they do. Really complicated.

But as much as I'd like to see them, the universe needs them way more than I do.

Besides, I don't plan on sticking around here either way. We're going to figure out what's going on here and who's responsible for it.

Whoever brought us here gave us these stupid laptops. There is zero percent chance they're not reading every word we say on here.

i wish i could say i already thought of that but i definitely did not actually think of that.

they gave us laptops that were all pre-programmed for us and gave us hex codes.
which makes this even creepier?
they're probably reading and also watching us from somewhere else, but at least we have some change of privacy offline.

It sure does. And there's no denying these are useful for communicating to everyone all at once. We should use them, even if they were put into our hands by our captors.

But sensitive information, even if there's no guarantee they're not listening to us otherwise, that needs to be kept off the network or we have to assume they'll know too.

bluh...stupid. the thing is we are going to HAVE to keep using them since nothing else works. i tried getting my phone to work the other day and nothing.

we should come up with a secret code word or something to say on the network when people have important information or sensitive information to share. that way people know to meet up in person instead. kind of like spies.

Yeah. Any of the communication tech in my suit is useless. Scanners barely work.

Code is a good idea. Or some sort of physical network to share information -- written or oral. Those would be harder to hack, at least.

Though not necessarily harder to infiltrate.

It is weird. Some of my tech still works. I guess the sword is a little bit of both. And my suit isn't entirely dead. I'm just definitely not making any calls home for reinforcements.

Yeah exactly, like that.

Or a chain of people where each person is responsible for passing the information to the next.

And maybe we can identify somewhere that could be used to meet, physically. Secure it, sweep it for listening devices. Make it was secure as we can.

our sylladexes still work which isn't really tech i think? i'm actually not sure what they are. they're kind of...never mind whatever the point is that anything we could use to get help outside of this town is dead. the laptops don't even have real internet.

good call. the only problem with a chain of people is that people might get the message wrong? and that would be pretty messy.

the rest of that's a good idea. there are too many empty buildings around here. there's bound to be one we can use ourselves once we did a sweep. three districts to pick from too.

Yeah. I like the notebook idea. Lets us keep things consolidated. And means that no one person has to remember everything. In case something happens to one of us.

Yeah, same. I've run through most of the town quickly, but I wasn't necessarily looking to scout a location.

that is assuming we can FIND a notebook but if we have to we can look in the abandoned houses again and just take stuff from them.

i don't think we were expecting to have to do this so i cannot say i blame you. i have a few ideas where to check too but it will take some time.

maybe we should also just start introducing ourselves on the forum until we memorize people's hex codes. even though that is a lot of codes to memorize.
