How sure are you that you're still alive? Back where you're from I mean.
Like on a scale from 1 to 10. Where 1 is "I definitely died" and 10 is "I'm definitely still alive" and everything in between.

I think if there's the possibility you're alive, no matter how small, that's what I'd hold onto.
