Question for anyone. Or for everyone I guess.

How sure are you that you're still alive? Back where you're from I mean.

Like on a scale from 1 to 10. Where 1 is "I definitely died" and 10 is "I'm definitely still alive" and everything in between.

Thanks in advance. I know it's a weird question. I just... I gotta know.



[He's asked some folks, but the results so far are mixed. And Keith needs to figure out one way or another if this is just some weird unexpected afterlife, and he's at a solid 2.5 on his own scale so he's wondering.]

I'd go with a four.

Since I don't have experience with dying, how can I be sure I'd retain any memory of dying? In that case, anyone with suspicions that they might die (or that someone may be after their life) could have ended up here.

That applies to anyone answering ten, as well, of course. [Like, hell, maybe they're all dead! ... That would be a little unsatisfying, though.]

Yeah, I know. Anyone could die at any time. But it gets less and less likely that so many people were blindsided. At least, that's my working theory.

If everyone knew they were dead, or thought they might be, that'd be pretty telling too. Right?

That's true. We've at least nearly eliminated the idea this is just some bizarre afterlife.

Even if it were the afterlife, though, I can't say I'd be happy just settling down and staying. I'm working with the idea there must be some way back.

Oh I don't plan on sticking around. We're going to find a way out of here. I'm just not sure how yet.

Nowhere and going nowhere fast. But I'm not giving up. Answers might be hard to find, but they have to be out there.
