User: #FFDF00 - Missing colors? And a request

Hey, it's Midoriya again. The shadows haven't acted up in a few days, so hopefully that means we've seen the end of those attacks for now. It looks as if everyone's color is back to normal, too.

[What isn't normal, though, is Izuku's text. Instead of the eye-searing yellow that it's been for the past few weeks, it's returned to the black that everyone had in the beginning. How strange.]

Since we're no longer fighting off our shadows 24/7, there's a couple things I wanted to discuss:

1. Has anyone else noticed color disappearing around the town again? I'm not 100% sure if figuring out the cause of this could help us restore the color in this place later on, but I think it's worth looking into.

2. If anyone's brought back something from the forest before, would you mind letting me borrow it for a couple days? I've been told there's something unusual about the items and creatures in there, and if we have more samples to examine, it'll be easier to confirm whether everything has the same properties or not.

I can bring it, or you can come over. Anything is fine.

As for my condition, I’m unhurt. There’s no need to worry about me. Guren and I were together for the last days of it, so we were able to stay safe.

I would have come to see you if I thought I could, but...

[ he’s getting the impression it was impossible for a few reasons!! ]

I don't mind coming over to see you! Would that be okay?

It's okay, Dextera-san. We were all really busy fighting our shadows. I was worried about Ichinose-sensei, too, but I'm really relieved you two were looking after each other!

[passio]

If you're sure you don't mind coming over, I would like that. It's been a while, hasn't it?

[ it's not just a social visit, though—dextera feels distantly protective of izuku, a nagging worry, and he wants to check for himself that nothing is wrong now that his horrible yellow text color is gone. ]

[inheritance]

It has. I definitely don't mind!

Is it okay if I head over right now?

[passio]

Please do.

But the chickens are sleeping, so be careful not to wake them on your way.

[inheritance]

I will!

[Izuku makes his way over to Dex's place, knocking on the door softly to keep from waking the chickens .]

[passio]

[ truly, a hero...!

dextera is glad to let him in when he arrives, though, and he lets out a soft breath when he sees that, while izuku's text color is gone, he himself doesn't seem to be colorless. that's a good sign for his health, right?

he nods in greeting. ]

[inheritance]

Dextera-san. [Izuku greets him cheerfully, though quietly still. A rueful smile makes its way onto his face when he notices that he isn't the only one doing a worried once-over now that they're face to face.] I'm okay, I promise.

[Then he cocks his head, looking around the place curiously for the chickens Dextera had mentioned earlier.] Are they still sleeping?

[passio]

[ if izuku promises, then dextera won't push the issue—since he does look all right, after all. he's not confident enough in their friendship to ask izuku to spill all the beans. ]

...?

[ oh! the chickens. dextera nods, gesturing past izuku out the door, but there is one special lady that he keeps inside. she'll be in his room anyway, where the amulet is, so he tilts his head for izuku to follow. ]

[inheritance]

[There are questions Izuku wants to ask, too, and part of him's working up the courage to ask. Even if his and Dextera's friendship is newer, his worry and desire to help always trumps anything that might usually make him hold back.

Izuku follows him, staying as quiet as he can. ]

[ they’re going to get around to an easy comfort with each other eventually—but it seems both of them are yet skittish, equally nervous about friendship in general, but dextera got this notebook from him and that’s about the same level of commitment as a wedding ring.

he opens the door to his room, and the chicken clucks in sleepy greeting. he nods to her, and gestures to izuku like this is her room and dextera is merely a guest living in it. ]

[inheritance]

[Friendship marriage attained!! Even if Izuku doesn't realize it just yet. Their friendship still has time to grow into it, at least.

He gasps a little when he sees the chicken in the room, though.]

Oh I didn't know you kept one in here, too!

[passio]

Heh.

[ look at that smile? leliel isn’t the only angel in his room today. dextera feels a soft wash of pride even though he had nothing to do with acquiring this chicken. he’s just the one who brought her inside!

she is well-behaved and quiet, like dextera himself, so she doesn’t even move from her little nest as he goes to retrieve the amulet that izuku ostensibly came over to take a gander at.
