User: #FFDF00 - Missing colors? And a request

Hey, it's Midoriya again. The shadows haven't acted up in a few days, so hopefully that means we've seen the end of those attacks for now. It looks as if everyone's color is back to normal, too.

[What isn't normal, though, is Izuku's text. Instead of the eye-searing yellow that it's been for the past few weeks, it's returned to the black that everyone had in the beginning. How strange.]

Since we're no longer fighting off our shadows 24/7, there's a couple things I wanted to discuss:

1. Has anyone else noticed color disappearing around the town again? I'm not 100% sure if figuring out the cause of this could help us restore the color in this place later on, but I think it's worth looking into.

2. If anyone's brought back something from the forest before, would you mind letting me borrow it for a couple days? I've been told there's something unusual about the items and creatures in there, and if we have more samples to examine, it'll be easier to confirm whether everything has the same properties or not.

I don't...I just remember being swallowed up and then just darkness after that.

it happens when your speed stats are really high. and that is a great way to look at it! it never hurts to share information multiple times just in case.

Speed stats. It seems pretty appropriate when it feels like we're in an rpg sometimes. I mean we're being sent on quests and all that.

No...I was near the well, actually.

seriously. we are forming rpg parties and everything, too, which makes the whole thing even dumber.
oh. ok that is even stranger since that means something had to drop your body back there on purpose.

Instead of loot and drops, we get rewards in the form of colors and food.

It was probably the shadow. Arisato-kun thinks the shadows just transported us somewhere for a while and then brought us back after we were eaten. It makes more sense than us returning from death.

it makes sense until you try to rationalize why the shadows would want you guys and then return you in the first place. what is that all about?
in this place i think colors and food are the best rewards possible.

I wonder if it's tied to color again. The shadows were taking our color that entire time they were messing around with us. Maybe snatching us like that makes it easier to take something more complicated. Like the color around us that's missing?

It's just a theory, though.

that's possible. if our specific color is tied to us, then by eliminating us in general the color would disappear permanently.
but if that's true, why would they WANT the color to disappear?

[He's just in the middle of typing something about #FFFFFF when he wonders if they should move the conversation off the forum just in case. So, he sends a quick message to John's inbox after pressing submit on that first bit.]

Flavo. I can wait outside for you if you don't remember which house it is.

[Just like promised, he's waiting outside the house whenever John manages to find it!]

[Onward and forward he goes! Eventually he flies into Flavo, keeping his eyes peeled for Izuku and landing in front of him when he finds the right house.]

Hey yourself. [Smiling, Izuku waves him into the cottage.]

Let's go inside. We might as well sit. I just...thought it might be better to talk off the forum. [Izuku purses his lips.] Since we still don't know what #FFFFFF actually wants from us.

Yeah, you have a good point. [But he'll wander into the cottage with his hands behind his back, giving the area a cursory glance.] It is just one of the other mysteries we haven't solved yet.

Like a lot of things in this place.

[Back into the living room they go, and Izuku slides into the chair in front of his laptop.]

Anyway, I was thinking....what if what happens with the colors are based on our experiences here? Positive things, like us all working on the quests together have the effect of bringing the color back. It would explain why we were brought here to begin with. Then there's the shadows...maybe the reason why they didn't actually eat us is so that we can keep generating more color?

[He'll have a seat in another chair, focusing on what Izuku says and frowning lightly simultaneously.]

It might explain why certain things beloning to certain people lost color, like your font and Dave's house. If we are supposed to be bringing colors back and we "fail", so to speak, that would explain things.

But why us? And how are we so sure that we are the only people who can generate the colors?
