This is Lupin, once again, along with monsieur Dave. You may recall my mentioning that the town we find ourselves in has yet to be properly named; my young friend here suggested that we hold a poll and democratically decide on a name for it here. If you care to participate, we can finally have a name for our little prison here.

anyway we have for you a collection of potential names in nonalphabetical random order
if you have a write in ill edit it into the post after
im also gonna keep track of who voted for what and how many votes a thing has
you can change your vote if you want or lobby ppl to change theirs but whichever has the most votes by friday will be what at least lupin and i use to call this place
and like maybe all of you if you abide by the rules of democracy

I wouldn't call it "sunny", personally, but it's certainly optimism.

If you compare it to some of the other suggestions we've had, it appears that way to me. Our fellow citizens are quite cynical.

To say nothing of the fact that institutional cynicism is generally bad for morale. Say something enough times and one will eventually internalize it; why go out of our way to make ourselves miserable on the town's behalf?

You've taken the words out of my mouth - or my fingers, as the case may be. Regardless of what may happen, we're better equipped to face it if we stay positive.

And furthermore, as we don't appear to have any control over how we were brought here or how to escape it, it may be worth asking whether obsessively fixating on that particular notion might not be a great waste of energy that could be more productively put toward something else.
