hey forums! my name's prompto argentum, i'm another one of the new guys. if you're one of the people who helped me last week i wanted to thank you all and let you know i'm fine now!! (*´╰╯`๓)♬ i've been staying with my friends in bluo and so it took me a while to go look for my laptop in flavo.

anyway i'm sorta curious about something. do a lot of people here come from worlds where magic is really commonplace? like, magic's deffs a thing where i come from but not a lot of PEOPLE have it, you know what i mean? it's in the environment and of course the astrals are magic and some wildlife and monsters have it but it's restricted to only a couple important bloodlines in humans, them and the people they share it with.

you don't have to answer if it's personal and you're like a magical vigilante with a double life or something, i just sort of wanted a sense of where everybody's at since it's so weird to me to see so many people talking about or using magic powers so casually. not bad weird!! just weird.

well i know other people with cooler names but they're here so i don't wanna embarrass them. i'll embarrass gladio all i want tho since he's not here to crush me in his monster armpit. (ᗒᗜᗕ)՛̵̖

What's an Astral?

what? oh. they're like our main gods back home. there's some other deities too but they're not as important.

So they have magic, and then important people have magic?

uh huh. and then like coeurls can zap you and other animals have other kinds of magic sometimes, maybe because they absorb it from the environment. actually i don't know if that's natural or magical.

and of course daemons are kind of magical too i guess.

So who's better, the people with the magic or the gods with the magic? Like, if you had to pick one, who would you side with?

oh the people 100%. one of them's my best friend, and also the best guy, like, in the universe. and then the other's the oracle and she

she was also a really great person.

Is an oracle like a witch?

no not at all. i mean i guess i've never met a witch but the oracle's more like... well it was her job to travel the world healing everyone and speak to the astrals on our behalf. humanity's, i mean. and it's the oracle's bloodline that's always maintained the havens as safe spaces for travelers against the daemons. stuff like that.

exactly like that except imagine there's only one in the whole world? so like a white mage queen. actually she was literally royalty so the "like" isn't necessary.

Why can't people just talk to the Astrals on their own?

a member of the other magical bloodline said when one of the astrals tried to talk to him the first time all it did was give him a super massive headache. it caused earthquakes too even a pretty good while away from where the guy was hanging out. the astral i mean, not the magic dude.

Maybe it's just me but waking up sleeping gods never seems like a really good idea to me.

I mean I'm not even a god and I'm nasty as hell when somebody wakes me up with no warning. Gods are probably like ninety thousand times worse.

I don't know what fulgur is but I know the other one is a water something and in my experience water somethings are always bitches so I completely believe you on this.

idk what fulgur is either but the fulgurian's name is ramuh and his thing is lightning and having a really long beard. the hydraean is a BIG WATER FISH SNAKE who is 210% ANGRY FOR NO GOOD REASON. she destroyed a whole city! FOR NO GOOD REASON!!!
