Greetings, one and all. My name is Maribelle, and I have a few requests if you would so induldge me.

Two months ago, I began organizing a list of everyone's skills and talents, a sort of handy go-to list for anyone who needs it. Seeing as we've had a batch of newcomers arrive recently, I feel I am obligated to update it. Whether you can cook a decent meal or wield powerful magic, all abilities are treasured. Here is an example.

Maribelle : Healing Staff, Elemental Tomes, Horse.

To clarify, as some had the gall to ask, I do not transform into a horse, I own one.

That said, if you replied to this the last time, there's no need to inform me again, unless

1) You've learned something new, and thus wish me to update your listing, and/or
2) You know someone has gone missing and therefore should be removed from the list.

Mahmut Tughril: sword fighting, archery, hunting and tracking, falconry, horse riding, sheepherding.

I am also a soldier so I have various survival skills that would be useful when we are in the wilderness or cannot stop at a nearby town such as cooking, treating wounds and simple sewing.

My, that's quite the skillset you have. You should be very proud of yourself.

Most of it are common skills most of my fellow countrymen are capable of. Our ancestors were once known as the conquerors who marched along side their sheep, after all.

I would be a disgrace to my own position if I couldn't do at least this much.

How ironic - in my realm, our army is known as the Shepherds. We are also given high expectations that we always fulfill.

It sounds as if you would make formidable opponents. It is fortunate then that we have no reason to cross swords here.

Indeed, you could say whoever plucked us from our realm knew to choose from the best.

I wonder what their criteria were? If they had wanted someone to help fix up the town there are plenty of people who would have been better suited.

I'm sure Zeki Pasha would have arranged a group of people by now and rebuilt more than half the town.

One of my peers. Where my specialty had been in military affairs he was better versed in engineering and city planning. While I was Governor of Chielo he had taken on the responsibility of building new facilities for the city state and he had managed to complete it within two months.

I understand city planning but it cannot compare to his knowledge.

I see. Having someone like that here would be extremely beneficial. Knowing the oddities of this place, perhaps he could still show up here.

I hope not. I don't think our army could afford lose anymore of its fighting force.

But I do wish I had his expertise. There are many things I simply do not know enough about.

[Like plumbing and bathhouses.]

It's very troubling, isn't it? Wanting our companions from our realms, but at the same time, knowing for the best they shouldn't be here.

It is certainly a complicated feeling. Either way, I suppose there's little point in thinking: it is out of our hands, after all.
