Uh, probably because there's no such thing as a "cute werewolf" in this case. There's just the violent and bloodthirsty kind.
So you're really better off making your supposed friend a fursuit or some ears.
And I don't have to point out the obvious about Hollywood not having any relevance here, do I? Publicity is pretty much moot.
