so this was before u new guys showed up & i guess that was the point cuz like
we saw all these magic color strings & when i touched em it made us think of people?
hard to explain
dunno who any of em were but a few days before u all turned up, the well was full of magic color strings for different folks

oh & my hands turned gray from touching too many of em but they got better ages ago so nvm that

the well ain't doing anything weird right now but just u wait
