Hello, this is Reim. I have a proposal to make, as requested of me by someone clearly too busy to do it herself. In short, the proposal is that we pool our efforts as a group and establish a public bathhouse, for both hygienic and social purposes, as this town is severely lacking in creature comforts.

And it would be something to do...

That said, I've discovered an additional function of these "laptop" devices, so please consider the following!

In any case, if you're interested in helping establish some kind of baths, please give your name and what skills you're able to bring, along with a rough schedule of availability. Given the weather getting colder, we'll need to finish this quickly before the possibility of more snow and temperatures too low for comfortable working conditions come along.

[ ... yeah, imagining a boat sitting in a hole is pretty silly, and he grimaces slightly to himself. ]

I guess it's a pretty weird idea and I don't really know much about making things airtight. I think I've also seen scenes in movies where people carves tubs from rocks or really big trees, but I don't think we have anything that big so that was my first thought.

Anyway if you think a boat's worth a try then I can also help with finding one and moving it over. I'm good with doing anything.

I don't know what a movie is, but I trust your judgment. A boat sounds like something useful to try, so, why not? It isn't as if this town can become much stranger.

Never. I'd never seen one of these devices before coming here, either.

You mean these laptops right? You did really good on the presentation for having never seen one before!

[ This is the guy that didn't know what a 'safari' was either, right? Maybe he's from an older time? And while he gets having never seeing a laptop before, never seeing a movie before ... geez. That's rough. Movies are great! ]

But well a movie is a moving picture that tells a story. Kind of like if a picture book had a ton more pictures and you flipped through the pages really fast so it looks like it's moving like in real life, they're realy cool and tell a bunch of different stories!

I have very little to do with my time, in a place like this, so it's only natural that I learn with what is available...

Those do sound interesting. I'd like to see one someday!

They're really great! I like reading too, but movies were my favorite way of spending time back home. It would be really nice if someone ended up here with something that can play movies but I guess that might be hoping for too much.

[ Also it's not like he's actively wishing anyone ends up here, so. ]

The closest you could get to seeing a movie here might be if people put on a play, but that's an awful lot of work and organization for not much gain.

So is trying to make a bath... There is so little to do around here, I wouldn't be surprised if community theatre was what popped up next.
