Hello, this is Reim. I have a proposal to make, as requested of me by someone clearly too busy to do it herself. In short, the proposal is that we pool our efforts as a group and establish a public bathhouse, for both hygienic and social purposes, as this town is severely lacking in creature comforts.
And it would be something to do...
That said, I've discovered an additional function of these "laptop" devices, so please consider the following!
[The mods said there's Powerpoint on this thing so click here to see the .pptx file Reim has prepared for you all, I apologize, but really I don't. It has the precise quality level of someone who loves his crisp & clean aesthetic but also is a messy idiot the second new and exciting things like Clip Art and Drop Shadow come along.
just look at it]
Isn't that something?
In any case, if you're interested in helping establish some kind of baths, please give your name and what skills you're able to bring, along with a rough schedule of availability. Given the weather getting colder, we'll need to finish this quickly before the possibility of more snow and temperatures too low for comfortable working conditions come along.
Thank you for your time.

your presentation is very cool!
and i could probably dig the hole by myself. i also have some shampoo i can donate.
[Said shampoo is full of nanomachines that automatically style the user's hair into Tim's hair style but like...the offer to dig a hole is genuine at least?]
an outdoor bath...and with winter coming there might be snow too! all we're missing are monkeys and we'd have the full outdoor onsen in hokkaido experience!

This presentation is so impressive Reim! I've never seen a function like it on my laptop. Nicely done.

In any case, I certainly can offer my assistance with such an endeavor. Though what that may entail does somewhat depend on the style of bath you were envisioning. The Roman style comes to mind for me, but there is also a Nordic style as well as one from the far East that I have heard of but admittedly know no more than that.

I have a question though. You said you just need a big hole and water but don't you need something at the bottom of the tub or else the water's all just going to absorb into the ground. Don't you need something like rocks or cement or tiles?

[Nice, a public bath! Now he can raise his Charm, or something like that.]
A public bath sounds cool, but don't we need a way to fill it?

How did you create such a slideshow? I've never seen anything like that before. Did you draw those pictures - and with this Touch Pad! impressive!
[ it probably took him slightly longer to figure out what his computer was doing when he clicked on that than it should have, but no one will know... ]
This is a fine enough idea. Unfortunately I don't believe we have any plumbers in this town. It will be quite an undertaking to build something like this without the proper knowledge.

The best thing would to put some form of hot spring by one of the larger houses and then build a wall around it for protection. Keeping the water hot without volcanic or tectonic activity will be the most difficult part.

I am very interested in this project!
For myself, I do not have any experience with making a bath, and little with baths other than hot springs. But there are many skilled people here. I am certain you will be able to design a splendid bath house with their ideas.
Leave the heavy work to me. I can do whatever physical work you need, just direct me.
As for the material with which to line the bath, may I suggest rocks and concrete? Clark Kent-dono would be able to tell you further about it, as he has made some before.
