Is there anyone that has any skill at fixing walls? I fear that one became damaged during the chaos. It does not feel right to leave it partially ruined.

[ Especially since it pretty much has a Shen Qingqiu hole in it due to him being punched into said wall. Sigh!

But hm, moving away from that for a second, he thinks he can finally talk about something while having it sound like "nothing." Idle wondering of a mind getting used to this place! ]

This is a different thread all together. Sometimes, fate says that there is nothing that can be done in order to save one person. And sometimes, you must be the one to bring harm to the person you cherish. But still, you would like to hope even if you were the one to hurt them that they'll grow strong and happy one day, right?

[ If this is something that everyone can read, then... then! ]

The stories that we create for ourselves need not be tragedies if we do not let them be. Even if there is that moment, it can still end well. [ Holy fuck, does he hope that it will! ]

Anyway, the wall is still a problem so I'm hoping for a happy end for that, too.

This teacher found many fairytales in the library. Some that were very close to one another. The endings for some were dark. The endings for others were happier and brighter. The story leading up to it was close to being the same, however.

All memories and stories are able to change and become happy endings. [ Mental gymnastics are fun and not at all unhealthy. Says one man with no scientific proof. ]

-- but in falling, Luo Binghe will unlock all his new abilities and golden finger. His disciple will become the protagonist able to have over one thousand wives and be loved more now than he was in the past. He will be strong and cool and --

-- so the years waiting for his return will be filled with what they are filled with. Too many emotions to name. ]

As the perception changes on what happened, so do the series of events until it fits with what the person wants. No one wants a sad story to have a sad ending. After all the suffering, there should be a reward, right?

[ The thing is, she's done the new story thing once already. When a young Galadhian picked her up from the streets, gave her a home, a new family that... well, some of it stayed alive, at least, a community that didn't chase her out, it was a new story. She had a reason to keep going, to fight.

But... well. She's not sure 'new stories' actually exist. Not right now, anyway. ]

Not everyone gets to make the decisions, though. Not everyone gets to 'write' the story.

I will say that we can. We can decide that much. And decide if we are unsatisfied with the whole of it. If there is dissatisfaction, then there is.

But no one wants to be just a sad story with no hope in it. At least look at it that way, if nothing else can be salvaged.

What happens with what remains when people you've trusted as family for years turn around and... well, that's how your story ends? They can make of what you wanted what they please.

[ FUCK! Of course, of course, it would be a situation like that! Of course, it would be! A story that ends? Wait, what? That doesn't make much sense. There are pieces that are not quite in place, but those that are -- they aren't painting a happy picture. Well, that explains why the person isn't in the best of moods and can't see -- is this how he's seeing things, too? Well, that's that on that, but this is someone else and someone else is someone else.

In short, Shen Qingqiu has a fear that Luo Binghe may have suffered this same sort of heartbreak, and this person is suffering the kind of hurt of being betrayed and most likely left for dead by loved ones. How does one reconcile that story? How does one find anything hopeful or happy? Are they just supposed to be a sad story? Not on my fucking watch. ]

What did I just fucking say? Hypocritical or whatever-the-fuck! That is that and this is this! Ignoring someone else's pain because it's similar isn't the answer, either! Am I supposed to just figuratively shake their hand and say, "Good luck with that?" Especially someone struggling this much? I don't fucking think so! Be the hypocrite that Shen Qingqiu was known for! ]

Then you're letting them control what you have left of yourself and saying what you have is theirs. The people that betrayed you, the ones you loved and now ...

It matters what you want so that you can say that they have no right. You are your story. You are alive now. So, what do you intend to do? Let yourself be betrayed once more by them and your story be used however they please?

[ Well, those sort of sentiments make sense. If anyone says that they don't make sense, they should meet the back of my hand as soon as possible. But all the same, if I'm going to be a hypocrite, should I make myself a self-righteous one?

He wonders if his tone doesn't already sound a little self-righteous. But either way, he's on the other side of things, and outright admitted his wrongs, but that doesn't mean much of anything in his opinion. It's like a villain attempting to gain sympathy while the protagonist isn't able to see it! This probably is the person's fear, as well -- their story being used to just gain sympathy from the people that betrayed them.

Right, he could have done anything with Luo Binghe's story! He could have easily told everyone that his disciple was a half-demon and he had to send him down. A Righteous sect leader doing such a thing would only make sense and no one would argue against it being the wrong choice. You all are agreeing to things too easily... so why you don't argue a little?!!

Okay, that's once more the protagonist entering the conversation when he's attempting to think of other things. Bye-bye, Binghe! Please stop interrupting while your shizun is thinking of what to say to this person!!

Shen Qingqiu, at least, is glad that he's calm enough to recognize what he should and shouldn't say.

So, he's quiet for a long time as he thinks of what he could say and what needs to be said. This is an open forum and this person is spilling a little bit of the pain that they're holding in. Not even the entire flood, I'm assuming! So I can't just step on something that's already breaking and shatter it completely only to say, "Oops." ]

It's true that there's no way to know. I can't tell you that you should just trust in people.

Your story has ended where you are from. Still, you should not let them to continue to betray you.

What this teacher is saying is that you should not allow those that hurt you to be able to write what sort of life you have here, as well.

And I don't know about a future. But I think I'd better try for a present.

Even if it is, that is a good way to do things. Perhaps, as you create a present, you can start to look out further. From one day to one week to one month and so on.
