Greetings. This is Archer. I hope that you are all faring well after the recent abductions. But it is concerning that and many other strange things in this realm which I wish to speak of today. I refer in particular to that book which Mythra and I have discovered underneath this town.
Last month, I have received a quill. How I came to obtain this item is best left unsaid, but this quill will write upon no surface save for that book. A few short lines scribbled onto that book’s pages have yielded me no results, but perhaps defter hands than mine can reveal its secrets. To that end I have left the quill within the room where the book lies, so that any denizen of this world might use it freely. I believe that, considering the recently published end to Mr. F’s woeful tale, we are meant to rewrite the story of this world. As such, it seems fair that all of us play a part in its completion.
Also, and this is very important! I have left a second quill there. This quill is very special and is quite a pretty shade of blue. By no means should you touch this second quill. Only true kings may use it and no other.
That is all.
[ OOC: This post refers to an especially significant quest reward from last month which might have a strong impact on the endgame. It’s a magical quill that can only work on the book found a while back. Feel free to let your characters use this quill as you will, regardless of whether or not you have CR with Tristan! Just remember to report to the mods if your character writes anything substantial with it!
Also the second bit of this network post is just a flimsy ruse to ICly keep a certain someone from making some very irresponsible decisions RE: the quill. Your characters are perfectly free to touch that second quill (it’s just a random goose feather, and has now been stolen) if you want, or even call him out on the weirdness of it all. That feather is otherwise practically useless and just there as a silly decoy.
ETA: OOC plotting here and a log for threading out book shenanigans is up! ]

"I have got a dream
It came gently, like a moonbeam"
It is not very good.

Stick to your day job of being a knight.

As you wish, Master.
I am certain that the others can compose far better verse.
[ Except that's not really the point— ]

How sad.
To think that even you have failed to realize the enormity of this discovery.
I was hoping that you would have learned to take some responsibility for yourself by now.

[ But he's trying not to pick a fight with her over the network again. This is hard. ]
That said, if you truly have plans to change things for the better, then by all means you are as welcome to these other artifacts as any other.

In any case, it will do no harm in the wrong hands, I believe.

[All the squinting. ALL OF IT.]

Oh…I suppose I could have done that.
[ He’ll just neglect to add the bit where the ruse might fall apart. Better to be thought of as an idiot
because he’s used to that by now. ](no subject)

Perhaps writing out stories is right? Memories of those who lived in this town before.

maybe writing stories about the residents will help to revive the town.

I truly wish F had left us instructions…
[ Also they're probably in the same room why aren't they yelling at each other over their laptops instead— ]
But following in the footsteps of Mr. F seems sound.

[Archer's busy doing laptop stuff on his laptop! Better to communicate through that instead of interrupting, right?]
also what is this second quill

When you say it like that, it's just asking for someone to steal it.
no subject
That would be quite sad…
[ Even if that fake getting stolen would actually be the best case scenario. ]
Nevertheless, I am willing to entrust these things to all the people who have been trapped here.
[ Even Mordred, provided she has adult supervision. ]

So you think we're supposed to write our own fairytale now?

There is only one thing to do. ]
I enjoy the occasional tragedy, but if we are to rewrite anything, a tragedy will simply not do this time around. Don't you agree?
no subject
Still, he can’t say much to that effect, when he doesn’t really recognize her hexcode. Oops. ]
I agree wholeheartedly.
This is why I wish to leave these gifts in the hands of those who are far more blessed than I.

Hm, what was it that Nursery Rhyme would say? Something along the lines of "The sorrowful me to the lonely you; let us grant those last wishes."
[ Rhyme isn't a Servant she's particularly close to, even considering the Moon Holy Grail War (and the tragic, tragic tale of her and her Master), but she can't help but feel nostalgic. After all, they are quite literally here to rewrite a fairy tale's ending. ]
Do you have any revisions in mind yourself, Archer?
