You know, I'm glad that wherever this place is, the Powers That Be apparently recognize that access to the internet is right there in the bottom tier of Maslow's hierarchy of needs, right along with food, water, sleep, and shelter. Apparently there's only this one forum, though? But I guess it's better than nothing.

Anyway, can someone fill me in on this "quests" thing? I know it seems pretty straightforward, "do this quest and win a prize", but what's the deal with the guy who lives in the azure district? Maybe I'm just not following how that fits in?

Apparently I'm a red, though, and I'd kind of like to pull my weight if I'm going to be stuck here for the foreseeable future, so I guess if somebody's in a questy mood, feel free to hit me up. I guess it'd depend on what the quest is, but maybe I can help. Or at least I can increase the overall hotness of our group by 1000% by being a part of it. (That's a joke.)

Maybe this is jinxing it (knock on wood), but this place seems...sort of nice. Like, yeah, we're all stranded here or whatever, but it's got a really "Gilligan's Island" kind of feeling to it? Like, okay, we're technically stuck here on a three-hour tour gone wrong but The Professor is figuring out how to make a washing machine out of a bicycle and some scuba flippers and Mr. Howell's setting up a nine-hole golf course for some reason and Ginger's somehow contributing by sunbathing and being glamorous but it kind of works out, I guess, for morale or whatever.

There was a point to that but it's gone now.

Anyway. Quests. I think I'd like to get in on that, so I'm open to takers.

My hex code corresponds to some as of yet unknown shade of yellow. So. We can "make a wish come true" or "learn a new skill". Unless we locate either a blue or a second red or yellow to open up our options.

Same here, actually. I've had a lot worse, but I think sometimes it's easier to forget that "not as bad" doesn't automatically mean the same thing as "good". It's not all just relative.

Are you feeling either one of those in particular? Make a wish or learn a skill?

I'm genetically predisposed to like learning and teaching both. What have you got in your repertoire?

...I mean I don't really know if it qualifies as a SKILL but I could teach somebody how to say a lot of dirty things in goblinspeak.

Actually that's probably not a skill in the slightest, given goblins.

I'm not bad with languages. Outside of scholarly pursuits like architecture, I'm pretty good at combat. Lots of weapons and hand to hand.

Yes. I've been in various forms of martial arts since I was seven. It's a family hobby.

Yeah, that's pretty new. It wasn't there...well, last month, probably? We don't have any calendars, but the quests seem to pop up every couple of weeks thus far. I don't know what that line has to do with the quests, though.

But yeah, it's really not so bad here, if you don't mind taking your time and getting used to the things that happen here. Welcome to the town.

And there's a point to the quests? I get the part about how we get fun and exciting prizes if we do them, but do we know why the guy giving OUT the quests wants them done?

More or less, yeah. Some of them can be dangerous, and if my friends are going on them, I want to make sure they're safe.

So I guess I've just ended up doing them all too. And sometimes, they bring back color.

i kinda feel like i deserve a break from quests but maybe i'm just being selfish?? ( ´△｀) so i haven't looked at any of them yet, but maybe they've actually got something to do with figuring out why we're here.

i mean that azure district thing starts like the beginning of a story doesn't it? "once upon a time" &c. and sidequests are an important part of any adventure.

Man, I miss video games. I was really hooked on this one tower defense game there for a while and I never got to beat it. Turns out trying to recreate it with bugs, rocks, and magic just isn't the same.

aw if i could get you a copy of king's knight i ttly would!! it's a scrolling rpg, it's got some shooter elements if you don't like that but you can play it with friends so that's fun!

but the multiplayer function probably doesn't work here. also neither does my phone. boooooooo!
