[hydrokinetics]

hey. my name is percy jackson. nice to meet you guys
so it's been almost a week since a lot of us got here and things still aren't making a lot of sense
yeah, I get how the quests work and I know what laptops are and I know we can't get out of here but there are other things that aren't making sense
I went to do some scouting to see if I could find anything about the water
it's weird, isn't it? the ocean's not supposed to be still and that usually means something's wrong so I went to check it out
couple of things:

-always take a buddy if you're going in the water
-almost all of the fish are mutated and they're not really helpful. most of them ignored me when I asked some questions
-the ocean floor's about thirty feet down, but there's a drop-off further from that if you keep swimming out there
-SOMETHING is there down past the drop-off. everything was dark even with a light source but something lives down there. I didn't get a good enough look but I got some of their fingerprints
-webbed and still finger-shaped if you're curious
-didn't get a head count either
-limbs went kind of numb
-pretty sure they're still down there

just thought it would help to know what we're working with since we know there are things like shadows in the woods and other stuff out there

Uhh...I mean sort of? But it's really okay, I'm usually injured or about to die in some horrific kind of way.

[Izuku stares at him.] Um, was that supposed to be reassuring?

At least let me look at the injuries and clean them up!

[hydrokinetics]

[Jeez, insistent aren't we?]

Izuku, come on...I promise it's fine. [...] Are you a healer?

[inheritance]

[Very insistent.]

Not exactly... [He continues staring at Percy dubiously. Why does he get the feeling that Percy won't actually contact a healer if he just leaves it at that?]

Do you want me to contact one?

[hydrokinetics]

Not exactly. [Because he and SOMEONE are the same!!!] I think they'll heal on their own if they're just burns.

[inheritance]

[Izuku squints at him even more.] Why don't you want to see a healer?

[A pause.]

Wait, burns? But...weren't you in the water?

[Usually the water in the harbor's too cold to deal with. Nowhere near the temperature needed to burn anyone.]

[hydrokinetics]

[Annnd we come back to the original point.]

Yeah, about that. There's some kind of monster down there but I have no idea what. [Haha let's forget about healing and get to the real problem, shall we?]

[inheritance]

The one you mentioned in your post. [Comprehension dawns now.]

You got close enough to get fingerprints--it burned you?

[Don't get your hopes up, Percy. You're not off the hook just yet.]

I think it might have been "they." There were a lot of fingers, Izuku. But yeah. They were pretty mad I was in the water, I think.

[inheritance]

A lot of fingers... [Izuku repeats slowly. And then it clicks.]

Jackson-kun! Don't tell me that's how you got the fingerprint samples...!

[hydrokinetics]

[Eheh.] Yeah...it was effect but not exactly what I was going for.
