hey. my name is percy jackson. nice to meet you guys
so it's been almost a week since a lot of us got here and things still aren't making a lot of sense
yeah, I get how the quests work and I know what laptops are and I know we can't get out of here but there are other things that aren't making sense
I went to do some scouting to see if I could find anything about the water
it's weird, isn't it? the ocean's not supposed to be still and that usually means something's wrong so I went to check it out
couple of things:

-always take a buddy if you're going in the water
-almost all of the fish are mutated and they're not really helpful. most of them ignored me when I asked some questions
-the ocean floor's about thirty feet down, but there's a drop-off further from that if you keep swimming out there
-SOMETHING is there down past the drop-off. everything was dark even with a light source but something lives down there. I didn't get a good enough look but I got some of their fingerprints
-webbed and still finger-shaped if you're curious
-didn't get a head count either
-limbs went kind of numb
-pretty sure they're still down there

just thought it would help to know what we're working with since we know there are things like shadows in the woods and other stuff out there

usually anything that comes with powers don't come by choice, no
I was born with mine even if I didn't know it for years, but I don't think I could ask for a power swap either since it's lineage
if that makes sense
that doesn't make sense, never mind
i think a prince is a little cooler than a knight though

Inheriting powers through a lineage makes enough sense.
At least I'm pretty sure that's how trolls get some of their powers.
And maybe so, but a knight's function just appeals to me more than a prince's does I guess.

...I can't decide if I want to ask what a knight's functions are, or how trolls have powers

Well, I can answer both?
If princes destroy, I figure knights protect. That seems like a knight thing to do.
And trolls are born with powers depending on what blood color they have from what I understand.

[hydrokinetics]

that sounds like it'd make sense, sure
is it too much to ask why the trolls have different blood colors...?

[robosmith]

You can ask, but I don't have an answer beyond "that's just how their species is".
Their whole society was built around a blood casting system too.
I only know this because it was a troll who took over the world and caused the apocalypse in an attempt to recreate her society.

...I think I finally found a world that's just a little weirder than ours

What is yours like then? Other than ostensibly less weird than mine.

depends. what do you know about mythology? anything?

[robosmith]

I studied ancient civilizations a lot so I at least have basic knowledge of most pantheons since they played huge roles back then.
Greek, Roman, etc.

yeah, okay, awesome. you're already ahead of a lot of people
so all of those things? they're pretty real where I'm from
depending on how weird you think mythology is (greek, specifically, but we have roman, norse and egyptian alliances) that's your answer

That's cool.
So taking in account everything else you've said, that makes you the offspring of one of these gods?

demigod, yeah
I'm starting to notice that isn't so weird here which is kind of nice

[robosmith]

Neat.
Some people do seem kind of wigged out by the god thing, but overall the reaction hasn't been bad.
It helps that a lot of people here seem to have unusual powers of their own.

is that why a lot of us got pulled here? has anybody figured that part out yet?
