Considering the mention of shadows in some of the previous posts, I was curious to know how many of you are knowledgeable about the studies of the psychiatrist Carl Jung and his own theories on the matter.

Perhaps...maybe not directly to us. Considering the state of this world, one could theorize that these could be shadows or lingering feelings of the previous inhabitants.

All just guesswork, of course.

It depends on how one looks at the situation. Looking into various possibilities in this scenario has always been something I'm fond of. The creatures could be what's left of those that lived here before us.

Entirely non-corporeal. My sword went straight through them like they were thin air, with no effect at all. But they still managed to grab Dave and me with no problem. I haven't felt warm since, like they sucked all the warmth right out of me.

They were like phantoms, but I don't know if I believe in that sort of thing.

True. Sometimes it is called the Id or the Archetype for this reason.

Someone who is cruel may have a shadow that is their opposite...but mainly, it is usually something that you wish to ignore, but is a part of you.

A theory, yes. Nothing proven yet, but I'm not alien to the concept of shadow creatures in forests.

Well, not my intention to imply that everyone else is. Only that nobody aside from Estelle and myself seems familiar with even the most basic things from Zemuria.

Carl Jung spoke of Shadows...the darker side of humans that they try to ignore. Sometimes it can take over a user, or far worse things...we still don't know what happened to the people of this world either...if they were people at all.

However those who have encountered the creatures have already unfortunately disproved most of them.

The fact they seem to be taking the warmth of their victims and making them return to the start of the forest...that is nothing like any of the demons or shadows I have encountered.
